BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

New Reservations 

  • Reservations will be held provisionally for 14 days. The expiry date of the booking will be noted on the reservation summary you are sent. You are required to re- confirm the booking prior to the expiry date otherwise it will automatically expire.  If you require more time to confirm, the expiry date may be extended on request. 

  • A 30% non-refundable deposit (of the total cost of accommodation and conservation fees) is required to confirm the booking.  

  • The remaining balance (70%) is due 60 days prior to the arrival date. 

Postponements  

  • For confirmed bookings, clients can amend bookings up to 60 days before the date of travel.  

  • All deposits will be kept and carried forward to the travel dates.  

  • Any increases in pricing for flights, accommodation and conservation fees will be communicated in advance and included in the final invoice. 

  • All postponements must be within 12 months of the original travel date.  

  • If after the 12-month postponement period you wish to cancel, the cancellation policy applies.  

Cancellation Policy 

  • More than 60 days before arrival, the deposit and bank charges are forfeited.  

  • Less than 60 days, and no-shows, 100% of the full value is forfeited. 

  • Should a guest fall ill during travel, fail to arrive at the property, join after the scheduled departure, or depart prior to completion of the trip, no refund shall be made, and full cancellation charges shall apply. 

  • For any change made to the itinerary by guests whilst on safari, there will be no refund for any services not utilized. 

All third-party reservations may be governed by separate terms and regardless of the reason for cancellation, their refund and cancellation policy will be communicated at the time of postponement amendment or cancellation.  

Insurance 

We accept bookings on the understanding that guests have their own comprehensive medical and travel insurance. Guests will be charged directly by the relevant service providers for any emergency services they may require and may find themselves in a position unable to access such services should they not be carrying the relevant insurance cover.  

Payment Terms 

All prices quoted exclude any financial transaction charges. Please note that you are responsible for the cost of any and all bank charges incurred in any of the payment processes. All payments must be made in the currency in which the quotation was accepted, or as is reflected in the invoice provided. Payment of your invoice is confirmation that you have read, understood and accepted our terms and conditions.  

Please ensure that the relevant reservation number is quoted on any correspondence or payment related to the booking so that our accounts department can allocate the money correctly. 

If you opt to pay by credit card, this will attract an approximately 1% surcharge, please request a secure payment link from accounts@scckenya.com .

Responsibility 

Neither SCC, nor any person or agent acting for, through or on behalf of the company shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from any cause whatsoever and, without restricting the generality of the foregoing, shall specifically not be held responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omissions concerning the property booked in their brochure, website or other literature, nor loss or damage caused by delays, sickness, theft, injury or death.
