This eight night Disney inspired itinerary will leave guests with a true sense of why the film has become such a phenomenon. Guests will see the original Pride Rock, the characters from the film in their natural habitat and the open landscapes and iconic sunsets that can only be seen in Africa. Day 1
We start your safari on Borana Conservancy, home of Pride rock and the original inspiration for Disney’s ‘ Lion King”. A stunning 32,000 acre conservancy on the foothills of Mt. Kenya where you with see that largest bio-diversity of animals in Northern Kenya as well as a chance to see the Big 5 – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.
Fly up from Nairobi on a scheduled flight or charter and drive to accommodation at Borana Lodge and enjoy stunning views across the hills.

Day 2
Head out early for a game drive in the hope to see the resident pride of 26 lions that roam the grounds of Borana Conservancy. You will be driven throughout your stay by interesting and informative guides who will teach you about the birds, plants as well as the animals that inhabit this pristine piece of wilderness. Relax in the afternoon before heading out for an evening game drive and sundowners on Pride rock.

Day 3
Experience game viewing in a more active way today and head out on foot or on mountain bikes to track black Rhino and elephant. Enjoy a bush breakfast overlooking the peaks of Mt. Kenya.

Day 4
After breakfast , take a short flight north out of the shadows of Mt. Kenya to the arid north of Namunyak conservancy. Scenically beautiful, this overhead view gives you a good insight to the vast landscape north of Borana and the neighboring conservancies. Arrive in time for feeding and bath time at Reteti Elephant Sanctuary. Established through NRT ( Northern Rangelands Trust), this project fosters orphaned elephant calves with the aim to re-introduce them back into wild. Revenue created through tourism creates much needed benefits to the local people that live alongside them.
Return to Sarara lodge in time of lunch and an afternoon wallow in the swimming pool which overlooks a waterhole where elephants often congregate. Take an evening walk or drive to look for leopard , gerenuk and vulturine guineafowl. Spend a relaxing evening in this exceptionally beautiful landscape.

Day 5
Have a relaxing morning followed by a trip to the singing wells to watch the community livestock come to water. Goats, camels and cows are all part of the scene as well as brightly adorned warriors, women and children. Take an afternoon walk up in to the hills or take a ride on the ponies.

Day 6
After your last breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the world famous Masai Mara. The Mara is also a great inspiration for the Disney’s ‘Lion King’ which is where the annual wildebeest migration takes place. Spectacular wildlife viewing will keep you in awe of nature and alert for action out on the savannah. Your accommodation is an exclusive camp that can accommodate up to 20 guests in seven new luxury tents dotted along the Sand River. Guests are treated to the casual elegance of safari days gone by whilst being surrounded by contemporary touches like private plunge pools and glass-front tents.

Day 7
The Masai Mara is best known for the wildebeest migration and the lodge is strategically placed to watch the migrating herds of wildebeest as they move through this area in search of fresh pastures to graze on. As soon as the promise of rain and new grass elsewhere, the herds will soon move on. Early morning and evening game drives are the order of the day to spot any activity from the predators and offer the best chances of seeing some action.

Day 8
Wake up before sunrise and experience the wilderness from above in a breathtaking hot-air balloon ride. Suspended in a basket beneath the rainbow-colored canopy, you’re off for a game-viewing adventure with an entirely different perspective.

Day 9
On your final day, enjoy a bush breakfast whilst out on a morning game drive. The game drive vehicles are fitted with stoves to offer freshly cooked cuisine, which includes fried eggs or omelets and pancakes cooked to order. You will be driven to meet you scheduled flight back to Nairobi for your onward international flight home.
